OMNI_DAT browser: filter out DATs with no changes

A small change, but one I've wanted for a while.

After each Friday import, a lot of DATs show up as "updated" in the OMNI_DAT browser. They have a new version date, but when you open them, nothing inside has changed. Every entry is Unchanged. To find the DATs with real changes, you had to scan the Status column row by row. With the number of DATs in the database now, that gets tedious quickly.

So there's now a new Changes column, just before Status. It's a simple Yes or No:

  • Yes means the DAT has at least one New or Updated entry.
  • No means everything in it is Unchanged.

Like every other column, it has its own filter dropdown. Set it to Yes and the table shows only DATs with real changes. You can combine it with the other filters as usual. For example, filtering by Group and Ecosystem as well will narrow it down to "No-Intro Nintendo DATs that changed this week". You can also sort by the column.

A few other notes:

  • The filter is stored in the URL like the others, so you can bookmark or share a filtered view.
  • If you're logged in and use Save View, the Changes filter is saved along with your column layout.
  • If you saved a view before this update, it will still load fine. The new column is added at the end of your layout, and you can drag it into place in Customise View.
  • The Status column hasn't changed. It still shows the full New/Updated/Unchanged counts if you want the detail.

This should also make my weekly DAT update posts easier to put together, which is partly why I did it. The next import is on Friday 30th October, so it's a good chance to try it out.

As always, if anything looks off or you have ideas for the browser, let me know on r/OmniGamesInfo.
